Flirt - Keep Your Relationship Strong

A healthy relationship is a strong relationship and the best way to keep your
relationship is through open communication.  Letting your partner know how
you are feeling is key to moving forward.
In fact, without adequate communication, your relationship is doomed to failure.
If your relationship is going to thrive you must make a concerted effort to
communicate and understand your partner’s needs

One of the keys to successful relationships is respect.  You may be surprised
to realize, but respect and communication go hand in hand.  Without respect
for your partner, and vice versa, communication will fail.

Letting your partner know that you expect to be respected from the beginning
of your relationship will save time and trouble later on.  Likewise, it is
important to show respect.  This includes being an active listener.
Many relationships fail to succeed because partners won’t take the time to
actively listen to what their partner is saying.
There can be no communication without listening, and if there is no respect,
no one will listen to the other party.

Another important aspect to realize is that there are no perfect relationships
When a couple first falls in love they enter the “honeymoon stage”.
During this time it seems that no one can do anything wrong.  No one has any
faults or flaws and it appears that everything is perfect.  It doesn’t take very
long for reality to set in and when it does, it is sometimes a rude awakening.

When a couple has their first major fight or argument, it is important to observe
how both parties behave.  The way people behave when they argue is a good indictor
of their level of emotional intelligence.  If your partner becomes abusive,
threatening, or violent during your first argument you can rest assured that your
relationship would only grow worse.  Never ignore warning signs of disrespect in the early days of your relationship.

Your partner must respect you and you must reciprocate that respect for your
relationship to grow strong and vital.  If you see any signs that the level of
respect is not where you would like it to be, you need to discuss your concerns with  your partner.  If you don’t solve these issues your level of communication will be limited and future problems will be inevitable.

It’s important to realize that during the honeymoon stage of a relationship it
is very easy to spend all of your time with your partner and avoid seeing friends
or even family members.  However, over time, this type of behavior robs a person  of their freedom. It is perfectly understandable (and normal) for this behavior to exist during the beginning of a relationship, but if it continues for an  extended period of time, there will need to be changes.

A couple cannot block out the world and outside friends and family members
If a person believes that they should be the only person in their partner’s life,
the relationship is not healthy.  Changes must be made.  Either the partner will
need to change or serious consideration should be made about ending the relationship
Remember, without respect there is no true communication.
